KIPHRA consists of 15 ringers and a musical director – Tim Willetts. They play 5 octaves of bells, with all sharps and flats in between, which results in a very rich sound and very easy on the ear. They also play hand chimes as a variation to enhance the music. They perform two main local concerts a year: a summer one in early July and a Christmas concert on the second Thursday in December. Every Thursday night from 7.45pm -9.45pm, with a 10 minute tea break. Meetings take place in the Large Hall.
A fee of £50 in March and another £50 in September is charged (this equates to roughly £2 per session).
